AMCA MX2 IMBA round one report:

ISO2 supported Athlete Phil Mercer took his DK off road Kawasaki to a magnificent win in the Czech Republic at round one of the IMBA championship.

Taking wins in race one and three and a fifth in race two Phil stamped his authority on the chamionship, it wasn't all plain sailing as ignition problems in the last race nearly halted the party but he managed to nurse the machine home and take the win one second ahead of fellow Brit LeeDunham. Phil leads the championship by four points from Dunham with other Brit Matt Porter third. The next round is in southern France.

Brad O’leary AMCA MX1 Championship round two report:

With the Bevercotes circuit being wide and with plenty of room for overtaking, it was relatively easy to put a good fast lap. I did my usual practice and two fast qualifying laps, this putting me in 3rd place on the grid. >>more

Tom Church MX1 World Championship report from round 4.

The deep Dutch sand of the unforgiving Valkenswaard circuit proved a tough test for ISO2 supported athlete Tom Church. He struggled at the fourth round of the 2009 FIM Motocross World Championship after having just returned to racing following a virus that had forced him to miss the previous Grand Prix in Turkey. >>more

Redbull Pro National round one report:

On a very professional looking and perfectly prepared Landrake circuit with brilliant sunshine it was a memorable weekend for everyone of the many spectators that visited the event as well as the riders that took part.

ISO2 supported athlete Carl Nunn, went to the top of the pack at the weekend, as he took the overall win at the opening round of the Red Bull Pro series, held at Landrake, near Plymouth in Cornwall.

Despite leaving the round with the overall win, it wasn’t all plain sailing for Nunn, after arm-pump in race one saw him drop from a comfortable lead to third place by the flag. Determined to finish the opening round strongly, Nunn got his head down in the second race to come home in another podium position, behind teammate and eventual race winner James Noble.

ACU BRITISH MMX CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 round 2 – MILDENHALL – 5th APRIL

Round 2 of the MMX Championship took place in brilliant sunshine at Mildenhall on the 5th April. The hosting West Devon club had worked hard with the circuit management to ensure that dust would not be a problem during racing which turned out to be just as exciting as round one back in February.

Qualifying: The Open class were on round two of their Championship and the going was completely different to Little Silver and Brad Anderson once again put the PAR Homes Honda on pole position but this time with MVR-D Suzuki’s Carl Nunn splitting Anderson and new LPE Kawasaki signing Kristian Whatley.

ISO2 Supported athlete Carl Nunn had a mixed day; riding the MVR-D Suzuki 450cc machine on his home circuit Carl had a disappointing DNF in race one after showing great promis early on whilst battling hard for the lead with Kristian Whately. Unfortunately Carl’s Suzuki expired on lap 7 gifting the race win to Whately. Carl made up for the disappointment of race one with an excellent second place in race two behind the on form Brad Anderson.

Carl now lies in second place in the championship 14 points behind Whately

ISO2 Supported athlete Phil Mercer took the long trip to Dunkerque in France on Sunday 5/4/09 to ride the support races at the opening round of the MX1 IMBA championship in readiness for the fast closing AMCA Championship season.

Phil rode the sandy track in fine form storming to two great race wins, Phil was riding his practice bike and will spend the next few weeks setting up his fully prepped DK Off road Kawasaki KXF250 race steed so he will be more than ready to fight to keep his MX2 crown for another year and hopefully add the MX2 IMBA crown to his impressive list of championships.

World MX1 Championship report on Tom Church - Round 2

A complete reversal of weather conditions greeted ISO2 supported athlete Tom Church at Sevlievo in Bulgaria for the second round of the 2009 FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship. Tom enjoyed glorious sunshine and decent temperate – a contrast to the mud-bath he encountered in Italy for the series opener last week – but sadly the results did not match the good vibe around the paddock as he could only record twenty-fourth position overall. >>more

ISO2 supported athletes reach the heights....

Both Carl Nunn and Tom Church had an excellent start to their MX1 British championship campaign on Sunday 1/3/09 at Canada Heights in Kent.

Despite the deep rutted surface, which was worsened even more by a heavy hail storm half way through the day, both Nunn and Church looked as smooth as ever, Tom really set the tone for the day on the factory Build Base CCM as he headed morning qualifying for most of the session only to be ousted from top spot by Grand Prix race winner Zach Osborne in the dying minutes. Carl needed a little more time to get to grips will the Kent circuit and qualified in 6th position on his MVR-D Suzuki. Carl took a steady 6th in race one but backed it up with an impressive win in the second moto to secure second overall on the day. Tom Having gained third overall thanks to a 5th in race one and an excellent second place in race two after leading for some time was suitably pleased: “The first race was a real mess, I made a good start and tried to hang with the front guys, but the more I pushed the more mistakes I made, so I just settled down and decided that I just needed to finish safely. I got a real good start in the second race, and tried to command the situation from the front. Somehow I managed to hit the front brake on a post, which may have bent the disc as the brake was on and off for the rest of the race. Despite second place in that race and third overall this is a great result for both me and the team this early in the season.”

ISO2 Nutrition supported athlete Tom Church continues to Build his confidence:

Tom was up amongst the action at the front of the pack early when on in the first encounter after an excellent start at the Hawkstone International 1/3/09. Tom raced head to head with the world’s top MX1 championship contenders to finish a fine 7th at the flag. Tom was left with all the work to do in race two having been forced out on the sprint to the first turn and with the intense programme of racing taking its toll on the track this was sure to be a test on his fitness. After bringing the Build Base CCM home in a credible 9th position securing 7th overall Tom commented:

“Obviously I would have liked to have had a better second race result, but in general it has been a good day both for me and the team. I got away well in the first race and found myself up with the top guys, I should have pushed a bit harder and tried to hang with them, but I felt tense so I just tried to relax and stayed at a pace I knew I could maintain. In the second race I made a mess of the start and gave myself plenty to do. I came through OK but I had a real mental block half way through the moto, which definitely cost me a couple of places come the finish. Overall it has been a positive day, where we have made some good progress.”

ISO2 Nutrition supported athletes bring home the Silver.....

ISO2 nutrition supported athlete Tom Church made a fantastic start to the season by taking the overall win at the opening round of the 2009 ACU British Open Motocross Championship held at Little Silver in Devon. Tom climbed on the top step of the podium with a third place in the first race, and a second place in race two. Tom was pleased with his debut: “Overall I am really happy with how the day has gone. I messed up both the start and the first corner in race one and had to come through the pack. The second race was a similar story with another average start, which left me work to do.

ISO2 Nutrition supported athlete Carl Nunn was in electric form at the opening round of the 2009 ACU British Open Motocross Championship held at Little silver in Devon, after storming to an emphatic win in the opening race Carl backed it up with a 5th position in race two after coming through the whole pack due to a terrible start when he tangled bars with Stephen Sword off the line. Carl said "I was lucky not to go down really, it could have been a lot worse". Carl ended the day a fabulous 3rd overall.

AMCA ISO2 supported athletes

We are please to announce that Phil Mercer, Brad O’Leary and Jack Taylor will be the official ISO2 supported athletes in the up and coming AMCA championships.

Reigning MX2 champion factory Phil Mercer is looking forward to using the ISO2 products for a full season after positive testing under race conditions in 2008, Phil said last years trial was so successful I am looking forward to using ISO2 on a regular basis in 2009 not only on race day but to enhance my training as well, it’s another tick in the right box for me to regain my title.

Former three times MX2 champion and 2008 MX1 runner up Brad O’Leary will be using ISO2 products again in 2009. Brad used the products in 2008 and was so impressed by the impact it had that he hasn’t hesitated to opt for ISO2 again for his MX1 championship campaign, Brad has been training extremely hard over the last few Months and has benefited immensely with reduced recovery times from using ISO2 Complete Recovery and Complete Energyze enabling him to push so much harder than in previous years of off season training. Brad said I learn’t so much last year moving up to the MX1 class and realized I needed to concentrate harder on my off season training for 2009, I have put so much effort into this off season both on and off the bike I just can’t wait for the new season to start.

Jack Taylor is the young team mate to Brad O’Leary and will be racing in the MX2 class for 2009; 18 year old Jack had a steady 2008 championship season finishing in 10th place in the final standings. Jack has been out training hard with team-mate Brad during the off season and is as eager as ever to get the season started, with a little more luck on his side and with the added benefit of being part of a well run professional team Jack will undoubtedly clime the championship score board in 2009.

We will have an individual rider profile shortly.
